Midtown

Midtown Miami is just minutes north of downtown Miami and just south of Miami’s Design District. In an ever-evolving city like Miami, growth is a constant but Midtown Miami has seen some of the fastest growth in recent years and is home to the popular and well-known Shops at Midtown.

Midtown Miami has experienced somewhat of a rebirth in the Magic City. In 2005, a large scale development project was begun in Midtown but the economic decline and eventual collapse of the real estate bubble in 2007 interrupted that effort. In 2011, plans were announced for an entertainment center, hotels and shops and the rebirth began. Today, Midtown is home to many national and local stores, restaurants, a vibrant nightlife scene, art galleries and cinemas and many upscale apartments. Midtown is often described as reminiscent of New York City’s SOHO district with a distinctly Miami twist.

Most residents in Midtown rent and there is a wide array of condos, single family homes and apartments to fit every lifestyle and taste. The neighborhood is easily walkable and both families and young professionals love calling Midtown home.
